Characteristics
Italian Greyhounds are an extremely affectionate breed. This is what makes them the perfect family pet! They love to be with family and don't mind strangers or other dogs.
Iggy's are also very playful, quick learners and are comfortable with any living situation. As your puppy grows into adulthood, you will notice he or she will LOVE to jump and be rambunctious! It is quite amusing to watch them jump from one piece of furniture to the other!
It's important to feed your IG high quality food. Their stomachs are smaller and can get upset by something minuscule.
Your IG should always be on a leash when being walked. Since they are "sight hounds" they will chase anything that catches their eye.
Health & Wellness
As you probably have noticed, Italian Greyhounds have fragile legs. We actually had one of our iggy's break her leg when she jumped out of my wife's arms from chest height. Make sure your new puppy won't be jumping off of high couches or beds (or out of the arms of someone).
With proper loving and caring for you Italian Greyhound, he or she can live up to 15 years old.
Iggy's are predisposed to Patellar Luxation - a condition where the knee cap rides outside the femoral groove when the knee is flex - so it is very important that you purchase one from a reputable breeder that knows this in advance. Proper brushing and teeth maintenance is also important.

My wife and I have fulfilled a life-long dream for the both of us. We both wanted a big family. We have eight children. We wouldn't trade our family relationships for anything. It doesn't matter if we are on the Beach in July or gathered around the Christmas Tree in December, we love to be together. We are truly blessed.
People often ask us why we do what we do, which is breed Italian Greyhounds. When we first started our business it was because we love the breed and wanted to make the breed better. We also wanted our children to learn how to serve and take care of something that was dependent on them for love and nurture.

Dobby
We got Dobby in 2016. He was a surprise Christmas Gift. When we saw him, he reminded us of Dobby the house elf from Harry Potter with is floppy ears and pointy nose! He is a very happy IG that loves to cuddle and play!
Winky
Winky has been a member of our family since 2016 and we love her. Her favorite thing to do is curl up in your lap and cuddle with you as you watch T.V. You can tell that we continued on with our Harry Potter theme with her name. I guess that is what you get when all your children are obsessed with the books!
Zoey is a beautiful silver and white color. We can't wait to see what her and Dobby's puppies will look like. She loves to be held and we love holding her.
Daisey
Daisey is one of two sisters that we recently added to our family. She has been a great addition as she loves to play and cuddle!
Rosie
Rosie loves to run and play. She has created her own Greyhound track in our backyard. It is a lot of fun to watch her all around while entertaining the kids!

Ivy is a sweet little girl. She loves to hide under the blanket and watch TV while being held. She is Daisy's little sister!
